He is an Associate Professor in the Production and Quantitative Methods area at IIMA since 2012. His primary research interests are in statistical analysis of time series data and categorical data and application of the same in management, medical science and computer science. Apratim received his PhD in Statistics from the University of California, Berkeley in 2005. After that he has worked at the National University of Singapore during 2005-08, and then at the University of Birmingham, UK during 2008-12. He has authored papers in various journals including Statistica Sinica, TEST, IEEE transactions in Computers, Neural Networks, Computational Neuroscience and Journal of Statistical Planning and Inference. He has provided consultancy service to the National Audit Office, UK and has taught in multiple executive education programmes.
