Anand Kasturi is a consultant trainer working out of Bangalore, India. He has an undergraduate degree in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras , and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore .
Post-40, Anand completed his PhD in Business Studies from the University of Buckingham UK , with specific focus on Service Management. His doctoral research spanned India and the UK, and was related to the effectiveness of frontline service employees.
After working with an international hotel chain [Taj Group of Hotels] for about 6 years, and a leading IT major [Wipro Corporation] for 3 years, he has been on his own as a consultant trainer since 1994.
His work with a number of organisations both Indian and multinational is highly acclaimed, and he has offered workshops across 14 countries ranging from Australia and Japan through Asia to Germany, the UK and USA. His clients include Accenture, Air Seychelles, Avaya, Cafe Coffee Day, Club Mahindra, Deutsche Bank, Fortis Hospitals, Government of Seychelles, HDFC Life Insurance, HP, Madura Garments, Novartis, Oracle, Philips, Texas Instruments and Vodafone. He was awarded the 'Customer Service Guru' award by Oracle as a part of their Customer Service Oscars programme in 2007.
His work is focused on the area of Service Management. Through workshops with the management teams of client organisations, Anand helps ideate, implement and sustain a shared alignment towards 'customer service'. His facilitative approach has been very successful in helping change mindsets towards 'customer service'.
He combines corporate work with teaching; he has been teaching courses on Service Management at various IIMs since 1998 (Bangalore, Udaipur, Vishakhapatnam, Nagpur). In 2007, Anand was certified as an Executive Coach with the Coaching Foundation of India (www.cfi.co.in), and offers high-level executive coaching services to senior leadership of organisations like Sasken, HP, Vodafone, Aditya Birla Group, Lupin, Schneider Electric and Bosch.
In 2015, Anand launched an online 360º survey tool (www.360changemagic.com), to help individuals, coaches and organisations gather and leverage 360º feedback information for development and growth. 360changemagic has seen significant traction in the 2+ years of existence, with clients who include Motilal Oswal, Indiacast Media, Infineon, VA Tech Wabag, Rane Group, Epsilon and Aditya Birla Capital.
Since Jun 2017, Anand is the Director of Coaching and Leadership Development Practice at CFI.
