The Program started with the recitation of Shlokas by SaumyaRanjith followed by a prayer dedicated to the Guru. Yoga Instructor, Mohanraj PC, a second year student of IIM Nagpur who holds a B.A. in Yoga talked at length about the importance of Yoga in our life. Yoga, he said, is not just a set of physical exercises but also a philosophy that considers the existence of mind, body and soul in human. The participants performed a number of Yogasanas such as Vrikshasana- formation of tree, Vajrasana- formation of diamond, Padmasana-formation of lotus and Pranayama. The attendees were mesmerized by the experience and vowed to continue doing Yoga on a regular basis. "The peace of mind which a Yoga exercise brings is just invaluable. I hope to inculcate this habit in my daily routine in the days to come," quipped Sameer, a second year PGP student. The Director Prof. L S Murty stressed upon the need of having a perfect balance between the body, mind and soul and encouraged the participants to continue practicing Yoga for a healthier future.
